Jeonju is a city in western South Korea. Jeondong Catholic Church
It is considered one of the most beautiful Catholic Churches in Korea.
This place is the oldest and biggest Romanesque building in the Honam region.
Gyeonggijeon Shrine
It is the place where the portrait of King Taejo is enshrined.
The wide bamboo forest trail and huge trails in the precincts are good for taking a walk. It is well preserved as a location for historical drama and movie filming.
Jeonju Hyanggyo
Place which turns yellow with the gingko leaves in autumn, is the best among the perfectly preserved Confucian schools.
There are 5 huge and old gingko trees, and the one beside the western entrance is 400 years old.
Omokdae
It is one of the places where Joseon King stopped to celebrate his victory on his way home from a battle with Japanese invaders.
Beyond its historical value, it commands an unbroken view of the Hanok Village.
Wear traditional Korean dress Hanbok
Jeonju is rich with tradition and culture. Trying a hanbok is must. Rent a dress from the stores in the village.
You can rent it for around 5000 won for around 2 hours and store will help you to wear.

Never miss Jeonju’s Bibimbap
Bibimbap is famous traditional Korean rice dish.
The dish consists of variety of different nutritious toppings including meat, eggs, bean sprouts, red chillies, and more means “bibim”, while the “bap” noun refers to rice. Jeonju even has an annual bibimbap festival in October to celebrate the dish.
