The moment I think of scuba, the beautiful underwater world comes alive in front of my eyes, and if you love Scuba diving, then dive in crystal clear water of Gili Islands, Indonesia is not to be missed. On my recent trip to Gili Trawangan, which is a largest island of Gili Islands, I had an opportunity to dive.
The Gili Islands are a group of 3 tiny islands – Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air – in Indonesia, near the coast of northwest Lombok Island. Known for it’s sandy beaches and beautiful marine life, also for it’s beautiful coral reefs.
The island is also famous for Scuba diving. The magical underwater marine life around the Gili Islands which range from numerous varieties of fishes, corals, turtles, snakes and many more. It’s famous for it’s crystal clear waters with an average water temperature of around 28 degree celsius. Home to one of the best marine life in the world. You also get to watch a sunken ship sits at Wreck Point near Mentigi Beach. Diving in the Gili Trawangan is not to be missed.
I did the scuba through Dive Central Gili . The instructors were very good. They first taught the technique in swimming pool, before taking us to the sea. The swimming pool session was for almost 2 hours, which really made us comfortable before the final dive.
Final dive was breathtaking, I was awestruck with underwater beauty, numerous colourful fishes, turtles, corals and many more. The water was crystal clear and water temperature was optimum. The dive lasted for around 45minutes. It was real fun 🙂 🙂 I can go for numerous such dives 🙂 🙂
